795997264 My short story, "Twittering from the Circus of the Dead" will be out in all yer standard e-book formats, and for all devices, on August 6th. This one was originally published in Christopher Golden's fine THE NEW DEAD anthology and is just making its way to the digital world as a standalone. I hope you have fun with it.

Guess what else comes out on August 6th?

One of the best novels of the year, right here... and I ain't the only one who thinks so. Laura Miller (for my money the sharpest book critic in the nation) called it "this summer's must read." This is one of those books that hurts you and hurts you and hurts you again and then you finish feeling grateful and moved. Check it out.

I'll be at Boston Comic Con the weekend of August 3rd and 4th, to meet Locke & Key fans and sign comics and stuff... and I'll be there with artist Gabriel Rodriguez, editor Chris Ryall, master key craftsman Israel Skelton, Cape/Thumbprint scribe Jason Ciaramella, future Wraith artist Charles "Talent" Wilson iii, and Shane Leonard, who snapped and designed the amazing photo covers for the final Alpha-Omega run.

We're doing a massive signing on Saturday, from 1 - 2:30 (I don't believe Shane will be present for that one), and then another on Sunday, from 3:15 - 4:30 (Leonard will be available here however). And Sunday afternoon there'll be a bigass panel on the end of Locke & Key, from 2 - 2:45. This is the only chance to catch Gabe and me in the same place before the series wraps up this fall/winter; we both hope you'll stop by, so we can say thanks fer reading. The full Boston Comic Con schedule is here.

I'm not listed as an official guest yet, but Locke & Key is up for some Harvey Awards, so I anticipate a swing to Baltimore as well, for Baltimore Comic Con. If I wind up doing a signing or a panel, will be sure to update the site here.

And here's your round-up of what's been happening on my tumblr.

My Welsh Corgi, McMurtry, hits the big time.

Some thoughts about writing longhand and why I'm against outlines.

Disengaging (a tiny bit) from social media, without pulling the full J.D. Salinger.

And Charlie Wilson iii gets in the Christmasland spirit.
